Peaceful Haven Toggle favorite

This really was a peaceful haven!

We really enjoyed our stay and it was in a private location. My only items to be aware of is that you have to grab a physical key for check-in and check-out from their office. You pass the office on your way to the cabin, but they have office hours... so if you're driving in at say, 10 pm, you may have a difficult time, or may be unable to check-in.

Also, The trash is located at the beginning on the driveway so you will need to walk up a hill or bring in your car any trash that needs to be taken out. Rather than leave it at the cabin.

None of these were issues, just something to be aware of. I would stay here again. It was a lovely private location that was close to everything we wanted to do.

The cabin was very nice and spacious, we had more than enough room inside. Plenty of dishes and cookware, very large 2 story back porch. The negatives were that the grill needs new burners, they were rusted out, no brush to clean the grill before cooking, no stopper for the juccuci tube in the bathroom so my wife was unable to use it, and the pool table was in very rough condition, carpet ripped on the table, the legs were peeling the outter layer off and the table was unlevel. The room that it is in is too small so they have these little short pool sticks that are very hard to use. There is one regular size stick but you can't really use it due to room size. The Cabin is very close to Hollarwood off road park and that is what we came to do so the cabin worked great for us otherwise.

It was very peaceful and quiet at Peaceful Haven. We enjoyed the screened in porch during a rainstorm. The kitchen was well equipped and the bedrooms were nice.

The one suggestion I have is that the pool table is not in very good condition. The felt is ripped and at least one of the pockets is duct-taped into place. And there is only one pool cue, which did not have a proper tip or chalk. So it really wasn't possibly to play pool. This was not a huge issue, but if you were expecting to play pool, you would be disappointed.

Great cabin, bigger than pictures show.

Beautiful spot for a friends weekend! We had a blast in this secluded cabin. There were a couple hiccups along the way (wifi, kindling, tv issues), but Nancy was super quick with communicating and trying to find resolutions. It’s a newer Airbnb and as long as you can go with the flow, you’ll enjoy it.

The cabin has the most gorgeous views of the stars at night and the screened in back porch was really nice for just sitting and relaxing. Loved the hot tub too.

Very reasonable checkout procedures and a nicely stocked kitchen.

We had 7 adults and one dog staying. There was enough space we didn’t feel too cramped, but I think anymore than that may start to get tight (for example we couldn’t all sit on couches at the same time).

If you’re planning on hiking and seeing the sights for your stay, there are plenty to choose from nearby. Or if you’re like us, just spend the whole weekend laying around and enjoying the serenity of the cabin.

My family of seven, 3 adults and 4 teenagers, the place was great. The bedrooms downstairs with the pool table was great for the kids, and the adults upstairs. We went for the Red River Gorge experience, everything we wanted to do was very close by.
I would highly recommend a stay at the Peaceful Haven.

Loved the location. Cabin didn’t offer any extras that an air b&b usually does. Definitely needed some tlc…deck boards, leak in roof. The directions to the location need to be updated..had a hard time finding it until I called and got a physical address and put in gps (host didn’t think it would work) coffee pot hadn’t been cleaned or used for awhile so had moldy coffee but biggest issue was the beds down stairs had some stains and a large amount of dog hair in the beds. I did report this and she apologized and said she really “got onto” her cleaning crew. Honestly since the couple downstairs had a very poor night of sleep until they washed sheets the next day I would have assumed she would have offered some compensation instead of just an apology. Great location though and cabin has a lot of potential if it was better maintained. I probably would not stay at this cabin again.
